Recognizing the continuous improvement of advanced battery technologies and the need for more automated battery manufacturing capacity in Hybrid and Electrical Vehicle programs, PEC has been a frontrunner in the delivery of turnkey automated cell finishing lines.
These cell finishing lines cover all process and testing operations from right after the electrolyte filling, and supply pack assembly with a steady flow of completely finished and sorted cells. The line typically includes operations such as:

- Cell identification and alignment - Soaking - Initial charging - Formation - Degassing

- Aging - Stand loss - Grading - Sorting

All operations are integrated in 1 turn-key production system, using a high speed Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) for the material handling of the cells. Our embedded MES software guarantees traceability at cell level, enforces the configured routings and grading rules, and provides the operators and management with real time progress reports.

Our solutions are mass-customized to fit the different cell types, with a major focus to cost,
safety, accuracy, reliability and stability in the day-to-day usage of the system. The power requirements are tuned to the customers need, and range from cell to module voltages, and from milliamps to hundreds of Amps.

The automated line is designed for modular expansion, and allows a seamless alignment of you CAPEX to you real capacity requirements.
